An international student who is planning to study in Singapore would need a Student Pass. We will assist to apply and complete the Student’s Pass application on the student’s/ Parent’s behalf, after receiving the Acceptance of Offer form, signed Standard PEI-Student Contract and payment.
Student’s Pass application processing will take approximately 2 to 4 weeks. To receive your Student’s Pass approval on time, it is advisable to send us the complete list of required documents 6 weeks before the intended school start date.
For Student’s Pass application, the applicant must first be accepted by one of the following:
- Approved Private Schools/Kindergartens
- Foreign System Schools
- Institutes of Technical Education
- Government/ Government-aided/ Independent Schools
- Polytechnics and Universities
Do take note that a local sponsor is required for the application of Student’s Pass. The student pass application can only be submitted by a local sponsor. local sponsor must be a Singapore Citizen / Singapore Permanent Resident above the age of 21 years old or the educational institution where the applicant intends to study.
Application Requirements for Student Pass ( Singapore)
For foreign students who are age 13-19 and below, wish to attend a full-time course at an approved Private Education Organisation, the student pass application can be done straightforwardly. Otherwise, an interview might be required by the Embassy. Case by case basis.
For foreign students who are aged 12 and below, looking to apply for student pass are required to submit documented proof of vaccination or evidence of immunity for Diphtheria and Measles to the Health Promotion Board, Singapore for verification. Only after approval, Health Board Promotion will assign an approval number for us to proceed with student pass application. You may click here to download the form. Do take note that the form must be completed in accurate English. A fee of $35 SGD is required for the form submission and it will take about 3-5 weeks for Health Board to response. You may also engage us to assist you for form submission at a fee. Kindly refer to the Health board website for more information about this requirement.
Student Pass Processing Time
The processing normally takes between 2 to 4 weeks.
Student’s Pass Application Approval
Upon Student Pass approval, the foreign student will receive an In-Principle Approval Letter (IPA) via email. It will be advisable to plan for your relocation after receiving the IPA approval letter.
Should a medical report is required (if only stated in the IPA letter), foreign students are required to do their medical checkup in one of the recognized clinics in Singapore.
Student’s Pass Collection
We can also assist to arrange transportation and company to ICA for the collection of the Student Pass.
Fees
There will be a $30 processing fee for each student pass application. This fee is non-refundable.
A fee of $60 is payable when the successful applicant completes the formality at the issuance of the Student’s Pass at ICA.
Cancellation of Student Pass
Foreign students are required to surrender their Student Pass to immigration for cancellation within 7 days of termination of their study.
Replacement of Loss Student Pass
International students who have lost their Student’s Pass are required to make a police report and apply for a replacement within 7 days. The processing time for the replacement student pass, estimated at 2- 4 weeks.
Student pass application rejection
There is no guarantee that every Student Pass will be approved. In the case of Student Pass rejection, you may consider to engage a professional to give the best advice.

- Highest notarized educational transcript if applicable

- Applicant’s parents’ letter of employment, stating the date of commencement, designation and monthly salary
- Bank statement of minimum $40,000 SGD dollars (Applicable for Private/ International schools only)
- 3 passport sized photographs (White background)
- Medical report/ Health booklet (Applicable for local schools only)
- Deed poll if applicable (Change of name for applicant or parents’)
- Notarized Marriage/ Divorce/ Custody certificates if applicable (for parents)
- Work permit/ long- term pass/ Identity card of parents and/or siblings if applicable
