Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have experience tutoring students in N-level math and science, and have met many students who lack confidence in their ability to solve problems. I do my best to make learning as enjoyable and productive as possible by taking their focus away from their worksheets and onto me instead, asking them to present and explain their working and thought process face-to-face. It reduces the amount of mental blocks that students face and helps them open up about what issues they face. I also have experience tutoring advanced concepts to students in A-level mathematics, and I find teaching them to think graphically and intuitively, enhances their learning, makes concepts feel less foreign, and improves their ability to tackle harder questions in exams. These are skills that will serve students well further on in secondary school and beyond.
