Do I have to pay a fee to register as a tutor under Nanyang Tuition?
No, tutor registration is free-of-charge. You may click here to submit your one-time tutor registration. Do include your credentials such as schools attended, major, N/O/A subjects taken and results, tuition centre/ schools that you have taught in, special education experiences, other achievements/ awards/ talents, as well as available detailed time slots in your application. Tutor who includes their teaching experience/ credentials in detail has a higher success rate of being engaged by the parent.
What is the minimum requirement to join Nanyang Tuition as a tutor?
Minimum O level for tutor’s application. Minimum Grade 5 for Music tutor’s application. You may click here to submit your one-time tutor’s registration.
How can I know more information about the student whom I will be teaching?
You can look into the job description and requirements via our website/ Mobile App/ Telegram. Tuition assignment details will be released to the tutor at the agency's best knowledge. Do ensure you are capable in handling/ coaching the subject as well as commit to the location and assignment before submitting your interest. The tutor is responsible to find out the exact details and requirements. Nanyang Tuition does not guarantee the exact term/length of the assignment. The parent reserves the right to terminate the tutor's services any time due to the tutor's incompetency/ irresponsibility.
Am I required to incur the fees of study materials?
No, your hour tuition salary does not include study materials fees. However, the tutor may wish to provide materials out of goodwill. Should parents were to request new assessment books, the tutor is then required to purchase suitable assessment books outside of the lesson time, keep the receipt, and claim the amount from the parent. Tutors should make known to parent that any additional materials are chargeable. I.e. photocopy of study guide/ past year top schools exam papers too etc.
How can I receive my salary?
All tuition fees will be post-paid to the tutor at the end of every 4th week of lessons from the parent directly. The payment can be in the form of cash, cheque or bank transfer.
Is there a commission to be paid to Nanyang Tuition for each referred student?
Yes, Nanyang Tuition will be collecting 50% of the agreed one month tuition course fee as a commission (One-time fee). The fee will be collected by Nanyang Tuition personally from the parent after the 2nd week of tuition commencement, should the agreed schedule has been conducted.
How much salary am I expecting as a tutor?
It will depend on your current qualification, relevant teaching experiences and the level that you will be teaching. You may refer to our fees guideline before bidding for tuition jobs. You may submit a reasonable hourly rate for each of your tuition job applications. Tutor’s compensation commensurate with experience.
