Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have five years of tutoring experience and have been teaching Secondary Mathematics for the past three years. In my lessons, I emphasize the small details that students often overlook and help them strengthen their ability to approach application questions with confidence. I help students build a clear understanding of concepts and apply their knowledge in various problem types. To support their learning, I provide exam-style practice questions to train their thinking and reinforce key skills. I also encourage my students to reach out via WhatsApp whenever they face difficulties, so they can get timely support and continue learning effectively.

One of my students started with a C5 in E-Maths and found application-based questions challenging. With consistent guidance and step-by-step explanations, she gradually built her confidence and she now consistently achieves A1 or A2 in her exams.

Another student was already scoring around 80%, but wanted to push beyond that. By identifying recurring mistakes and refining her problem-solving strategies, she improved her accuracy and now consistently scores above 92%.

For A-Maths, I have worked with students across different starting points. One student improved significantly from F9 to A2 within a few months. In another case, a Sec 3 student achieved A1 in her very first Additional Mathematics exam, after building a strong foundation.
