First language is English, so student needs additional support in both spoken and written mandarin. we are looking for a patient, empathetic and encouraging tutor who can build his confidence and interest in the language.

ideally, the tutor should: - be able to explain or translate concepts in english when necessary to ensure he fully understands.
- have customised teaching materials, such as spelling lists, vocabulary, phrases and example sentences, rather than relying solely on the school textbook.
- have effective teaching techniques for comprehension, composition and oral, including helping him expand his vocabulary and learn how to construct sentences and express his ideas.
- be able to identify his weaknesses and tailor lessons according to his learning pace and needs.
-most importantly, be patient and able to make mandarin engaging and less intimidating for him.
