Tutor’s Teaching Background

Alumni Tutoring: I taught some of the juniors from my secondary school who have failed the subject in more than 2 assessments. I assisted these students with some portions of career guidance as well so that it sets them a direction to head to, and to realise their maximum potential of themselves. After a period of 4-6 months, these students were able to attain distinction in math. Flight Instructor: Apart from teaching mathematics and science, I also teach the specialised field in aviation and flying. My qualifications and abilities to come up with lesson plans allows me to know how students perform as an individual, and how I am able to make them improve from that point. All my students were able to score more than 80% for their simulator test and theory tests. Private Tutoring: I extended my tutoring to people outside of my secondary school and helped with Mathematics and Sciences. These students were able to score distinction as I have set them a customised framework for every student (part of holistic development). One of the students even scored best in cohort for Science(Physics/Chemistry) in the year 2022. For most of the tutoring experiences, I have used problem-based learning where I do try my best to get the student to understand the situation/concept through experiences that they can take part in to learn. These have given the best success rates for students that I have taught, and they get to figure out the best method to learn for themselves -- which helps them to do better for other subjects or matters outside the subjects I teach.
