School Attended: I am currently a Year 2 Singapore Management University (SMU) undergraduate studying Law. Schools Attended: Raffles Institution (Junior College) CHIJ Secondary Toa Payoh CHIJ Primary Toa Payoh
I have taught a primary 4 student Math this year and he improved from AL 6 to AL 2 by the end of year examinations. Additionally I also volunteer at Zhang De Primary School offering tutoring services to underprivileged primary school students from P4-P6. Methodology wise, I adopt a structured approach in my teachings, placing emphasis on breaking down concepts and simplifying them to make them understandable for my students! To me being a tutor is more than just academic improvements, it is being a genuine mentor who is willing to understand a student as a person first in order to cater to their unique needs. I strive to be someone my students can trust and feel comfortable with to look to for advice and be able to share about their struggles with the subject openly. Do note that I am only applying to be a Mathematics tutor!
