Tutor’s Teaching Background

I am a native bilingual in English and Chinese with over 25 years of professional experience as a translator and language specialist. As my passion evolved, I made a deliberate transition into teaching — driven by a genuine desire to put my linguistic expertise to meaningful use by helping children develop confidence and proficiency in their language subjects.

I am currently teaching English and Chinese at a tuition and enrichment centre, and I have availability to take on a small number of private students. I prefer to conduct lessons at my home, as I find that children tend to focus better in a neutral, structured environment away from the distractions of their own space.

I am open to group tuition, though I always assess each child's individual needs first. Where a student requires more targeted attention and personalised guidance, I would recommend one-on-one sessions to ensure they get the most out of every lesson.
