Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have previously taught lower secondary and upper secondary students, in english, literature, social studies, and history; all in one to one settings. One of my students came to me with a B3 in english but after 4 months, received an A1 in her end-of-year exams. Another student, who had been consistently scoring F9s in his humanities subects (english and social studies) managed to score four grades better in his final O-level exam, after two months of intensive tuition. For my lessons, I usually prepare my own notes - be it sourcing for literature texts, creating cheat sheets and summaries, or providing model essays for reference. While I tailor my teaching style in order to suit every student's individual needs, the one thing that remains unchanging  in my ethos towards teaching is the importance of a patient and nurturing attitude, as well as structure and constant reinforcement.
