I have been conducting online/physical secondary school English and Mathematics classes voluntarily from January 2021 to December 2022 for one of my tutees. My mode of communication with the tutee was sign language, as he was Deaf. Every lesson, I would clarify the topics he was struggling with and drill him until the concepts were understood. Before the tuition program, I also physically conducted primary school Science and Mathematics from December 2019 to December 2020. The tutee has been failing in the subjects stated before the period said. I was pleased to hear that she managed to pass her exams through all the hard work that we put in. In addition to my past teaching experiences, I have occasionally been teaching my peers at University to grasp concepts better. I’ve observed that teaching the subjects I’ve significantly learned helps in retaining my knowledge in the long term. As such, it became a driving factor in my passion for teaching. The subjects I helped my peers with are Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Engineering.
