Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have close to 3 years of experience in tutoring combined and pure chemistry for Secondary 3-4 students. I am currently tutoring 1 combined chem Sec 4 student, and previously taught 2 pure chem Sec 3 students, and another combined chem Sec 4 student. I will be entering SMU in August 2026 but will continue to tutor your child. I utilize both my own, and, if preferred by the student/parent, their provided materials, including assessment books, mock examinations, and question banks compiled topic by topic. I am flexible in my teaching style, so I can conduct special lessons like crash courses or compilation of mind maps which allows my chem students to better memorize the necessary details for exams. I excelled in the triple science class of ACS Independent and scored in the top percentile of my cohort for internal exams through the years. I scored an A1 for pure chem for O Levels. Aside from my teaching experience, I also have participated in Science competitions organized by reputable universities like UNSW and have achieved several Distinction and Merit Certificates.
