Tutor’s Teaching Background

I am currently teaching an O level student A math. Student initially failed with consistent F9s in Sec 3. Recent WA she passed with a B4. As a full-time working adult, I am able to offer a preferential rate below typical market pricing without compromising on dedicated, personalized guidance. May require some flexibility on student side on the timing as I may need to go on short business trips once every 2 months, depending on how my work project goes. However, I am more than happy to adjust my rest of my schedule to accommodate and ensure student does not miss out on learning. Aside from tutoring student academically, I also have 10 years of teaching experience as an alumni instructor with Tanjong Katong Secondary School’s National Police Cadet Corps as well in headquarters level. While NPCC is not an academic subject, it has given me valuable experience in teaching, mentoring students of different abilities and personalities. I have learnt to adapt my teaching according to each student’s learning style and pace, and encourage students to build confidence in their own abilities which are highly transferable to academics. I believe in creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and are motivated to improve. I was promoted to Assistant Superintendant for my efforts in engaging students at headquarters level in 2025 and also attained recognition by SPF with Honorary Volunteer Special Constabulary (VSC) award.
