Tutor’s Teaching Background

I consistently performed very well in History starting from IP3, topping the cohort consecutively from IP4 to JC2 Prelims and attaining an A for A levels. I also scored distinction for H3 HSSR History, where I was mentored by an NUS professor to write a research essay. I also have incredibly detailed notes that are over 700+ pages long, including model essays that have been vetted by my JC History teachers; my notes are specifically tailored for the current A level syllabus and contain everything that a student needs to know to meet what A level examiners are looking for. Through refining my work over the years, I have gained a strong grasp of common student pitfalls and I am confident in guiding others to improve in areas such as argument development and source evaluation. I sincerely wish to help any student excel in the subject and am willing to go above and beyond, such as providing additional consultations outside scheduled sessions, giving detailed written feedback and marks on essays, and tailoring revision plans to individual weaknesses.
