Primary 1 application for foreigners are under phrase 3 each year, to be done online. Students must be age 6, as of the year of application.

How to enter Singapore Primary/ Secondary school? Step 1: Present an online interest indication via the MOE Primary 1 Registration Form (Usually during June of each year)
Step 2: Non-Citizen / non-PR students who have submitted their interest during Singapore Local School Admission for foreign students will get notified by MOE (Usually October of each year) that they may get a Primary 1 placement in the local schools.

There are international schools whose annual tuition fees is around $15k – $17k.

Parents may also consider reserving a place in one of the available international school while waiting for the phrase 3 results. Do take note that only EduTrust-certified schools are qualified to apply for a student pass on behalf of your child.

Home Schooling

Parents can also consider to homeschool their child at home. Some families choose this option and homeschool their children (by following MOE curriculum) to prepare for AEIS (Admission Exercise for International Students) Singapore Government School Admission Examination. MOE states that “The AEIS consists of a centralised test on English and Mathematics that will assess the applicants’ English literacy, numeracy and reasoning abilities. Admission is not guaranteed and is subject to the applicant’s performance in the test.
