Students will learn design principles and tools through lectures and engage in experiential learning through group design projects. A stage-based design process will be covered. Students will develop skills in Arduino-controlled electronics, CAD modelling, and rapid prototyping to demonstrate their ideas. Module Structure: Weekly Lab Lessons, 2 hours each Responsibilities: - Facilitated weekly laboratory sessions as a teaching assistant - Explained to students the module syllabus, consisting of fundamentals of Arduino, C++, electric wiring and circuitry, design thinking, TinkerCAD and Autodesk Fusion 360 - Encouraged teamwork, effective time management and creative brainstorming amongst students over the course of 13 weeks each semester - Collaborated with other teaching assistants to complete administrative work required for each weekly laboratory session Paid tutoring (May 2020 - Oct 2020): Tutored to a Primary 6 student in Mathematics and Science over a 6-month period. Achieved notable grade improvements: Mathematics: B to A Science: F to B Volunteer Ad-hoc tutoring for A Level Chemistry (May 2020 - Oct 2020): Unable to track grade improvements due to ad-hoc nature of tutoring and the lack of continuity in the program
