Tutor’s Teaching Background

Rates are negotiable due to lower and upper primary (and subjects), and experience. Tutoring Experience (in years): 2 years in Primary math Teaching approach: I would usually buy assessment books (cost borne by parents) that target any areas/topics of math that the child would like to work on. I also provide my notes and exam papers for revisions (i.e., topical questions). I always strive to encourage my students to think logically and reason well when attempting math questions. Students are also welcomed to text me queries of other math homework (i.e., math questions from school). Else, I can also go through the questions with them next lesson. I am also presently teaching mathematics for 4 primary school students (2025); some whom I have taught since 2024. Students (2023/2024): Year 4/5 -Australian International School Singapore P6 - Shuqun Primary Grade 1 and 3(Twins) - Stamford American International School (AEIS) P1 & P3 - Lian Hua Primary P5 - Corporation Primary Prior (2023), my P6 student had made a great improvement in her P5 math test in less than a month; scoring 75%. She was usually a borderline pass/fail before. Her mum has observed that she is now better at analysing questions and thinking. My P5 student (2024) has also made a huge improvement for her recent WA paper after 3-4 months. She went from a typically borderline fail to getting 32/50, and her math school teacher and classmates were all surprised and happy for her progress. Currently also taking her for PSLE (2025)
