Tutor’s Teaching Background

Tuition has been a part of my journey since my junior college years, when I volunteered in after-school programmes supporting children from less advantaged backgrounds. I later continued tutoring primary school students while pursuing my Physiotherapy qualification, helping learners who needed concepts to be broken down and explained patiently. Teaching remains an integral part of my professional life. As a physiotherapist, I regularly teach, supervise, and mentor students and junior clinicians, and I have also served as an adjunct lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic. Education, in many forms, has always been central to my work. While I am not an MOE-trained teacher and may not thrive in a traditional classroom setting, I value the nature of tuition — where learning is more personalised, relational, and home-based. I am especially drawn to primary school subjects that focus on foundational concepts and understanding, and I enjoy supporting students who benefit from a calmer, more individualised approach to learning.
