I worked as an adjunct teacher in an MOE secondary school and took a class for A-Math and English for a term where I worked to provide the curriculum and teaching aids for the class. Therefore I have experience teaching in a class setting where it has trained me to accommodate my teaching format to suit a wide range of learning styles demanded by each student, from the fast learner to those that need a bit more attention.
I have also tutored students extensively since 2016, ever since starting my undergraduate studies. My expertise is in tutoring mathematics and sciences across both primary and secondary levels. I aim to not just help my students see improvements in their test results, which all of my past students do, but to also cultivate a greater sense of understanding and appreciation for the subject so that they will hopefully be more driven to want to understand more about these subjects in the future. You could say that I am quite the science and math geek, and I genuinely wish to impart this love of these subjects onto my students.
My track record as a student in terms of national examination results has been stellar. After 10+ years of being in the Singapore education system, I have learnt and adopted good studying habits that allowed to do well in exams. As a student tutor, I would be able to impart these exam skills, which would be relevant as I took these national exams not too long ago, onto your child.
I am currently an undergraduate at NUS Faculty of Dentistry. I have applied to NTU LKC medical school and got accepted too. If your child has aspirations to be in the medical or dental field, I can provide some tips on how your child can eventually get there. Getting to dental or medical school is definitely not easy and a portfolio should be built up as soon as possible.
I offer your child not only an improvement in test results, but also a helping hand in preparing for national examinations and ultimately, securing a place in a prestigious university of his or her dream. I hope to hear from you very soon.
