Tutor’s Teaching Background

During my secondary school days, I taught two Primary 5 students, one of which was struggling to get a B in English, and the other struggling to even pass Math. Fortunately, their grades managed to improve tremendously, achieving an A* and a B in English and Math respectively. I honed my mentoring skills through a programme which I was an executive committee member of; Lasallian Mentoring. A weekly program, where at-risk primary school students would come to Toa Payoh East CC to complete their homework, as well as revise for their upcoming examinations and tests. As a mentor, our roles were to facilitate their learning, and assist them with whatever problems they have to our best capabilities, academic or not. As an executive committee member, I was tasked with planning each week's programmes, as well as coordinating the logistics with Toa Payoh town council. I now do relief teaching at Einstein Education Hub currently, where I teach Primary 1-6, in the subjects of English, Math and Science, as well as Secondary Level Emath and English. I am currently a law student at NUS too! A1 for Amath & Emath, English and tutored my batch mates as well.
