Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have taught math to various students 1-1, varying from preschool to primary school. I am also currently tutoring math for 4 students (P1 & P3s). Different students have different learning styles, so I will prioritise finding a suitable teaching method for each student. This may include visual aids, such as diagrams, illustrations or pie-chart models and even real life examples to make it more relatable and interesting for students. I will also provide feedback after each session on the student's progress as this will motivate them and help them understand what they are doing well in and how they can improve. Telling them what they did well will boost their confidence and increase their motivation to learn. Additionally, I will also focus on my students' weaker aspects so that they feel more assured when going for exams. I will also create a positive and supportive learning environment as this can help to reduce stress and anxiety, which can make it easier for students to learn. As each student is unique and everyone learns and absorbs differently, I am happy to adjust my teaching methods.
