Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have several years of teaching and tutoring experience, primarily working with students from Grade 1 to Grade 10, along with some experience teaching students in Grades 11–12. During my college years, I provided one-to-one and small-group tuition to students with different learning abilities and academic levels.

I have taught Mathematics and focused on building strong fundamentals, improving problem-solving skills, and helping students understand concepts rather than simply memorising formulas. I am comfortable adapting my teaching approach according to each student’s learning pace and academic needs.

I am particularly interested in teaching Mathematics at the secondary/O-Level level and am currently familiarising myself further with the Singapore Mathematics and O-Level Additional Mathematics curriculum. I am patient, approachable and willing to explain concepts step-by-step using simple examples until the student is confident.

My teaching experience has helped me develop good communication skills and the ability to identify areas where students are struggling and provide targeted practice to improve their performance.
