Tutor’s Teaching Background

detailed experience
- in 2013, I taught a secondary 4 NA student Combined Chemistry for N levels. under my guidance, her combined Chemistry improved from fail to A1 within just a few months.
- in 2014, I taught a NA student from Bukit Panjang Govt High science. from sec 1 to sec 4, he has been getting top 5-10 in his whole cohort for his science exams. he had gotten A1 for his N level Combined Phy/Chem in 2017.
- in 2016, I taught an NA student combined Phy/chem. she improved from borderline for phy, and fail for chem, to A for both subjects in 1-2 months, and had gotten A2 for her N levels in 2016.
- in 2016, I had also taught pure biology to a student and she had been maintaining her score at A1/2.
- in 2016, I also took on Poly tuition assignments, teaching Biology and Chemistry, whereby the students improved their grades to A/B.
- in 2017, I taught an NA student sec 2 Science from Greenridge, and she had been getting A1s for her sec 2 science and also NA combined Phy/chem in sec 3 and 4. she gotten A1 for her NA Combined Phy/Chem N levels in 2019; went on to O levels and gotten A2 in 2020.
- in 2019, I started teaching an IP student from Hwa Chong Institution, science. he has been getting A1 for all his exams for the subject. In 2021, I taught him Sec 3 IP Pure Physics and Pure chem, and he has been maintaining his scores at A1.
- in 2020, I started teaching a secondary school express student science, from Unity sec, during June. I taught this student previously during primary school for science and she gotten A for it during PSLE. she improved her science from A2 to A1 for her EOY exams. in 2021, I taught her sec 2 Express Science and she has been getting A1 for all her exams including EOY. she managed to get into Pure Science class (Pure Chem and Bio)
- in 2021, I also taught another student from Unity Sec. I’d only taught her a few months just before her EOY, and she gotten A2 from her science, improving from B4. she also managed to get into Pure Science class (Pure Chem and Bio)
- in 2021, I taught another student from Unity Sec, Sec 3 Pure Chem and Pure Bio. she managed to improved from fail for Pure Chem and just pass for Pure Bio, to A2 for Pure Bio and B3 for Pure Chem in her EOY exams
- in 2024, I worked in a tuition centre, and has helped my sec 3 EMaths class improved a couple of grades. in my sec3 biology class, the students also improved. the most obvious improvement will be my sec3 chemistry class. when i took over, the 2 students were failing. after i took over, both of them improved, with 1 of them improved tremendously, from fail to A1 in just 1-2 months. since then, the A1 student has been consistently getting A2/A1 for her subsequent WA, and the other student slowly improving to A1. the class has since grown in size under my guidance.
- in 2024, apart from working full-time in a tuition centre, i also took up some private tutoring, particularly JC biology. i tutored the student since primary school, and in 2024, she had approached me for help for her JC biology after she graduated from secondary school. i tutored her and helped her with understanding concepts and linking different topics together, and taught her how to answer questions properly. since then, her grades has been maintaining at around 60+ (she is in one of the really good JC, river valley), and just recently in 2025, she took her A levels and is now waiting for her results.
