Tutor’s Teaching Background

I start by building rapport and trust — as the eldest of three siblings, I'm used to getting younger students to open up before any real learning happens. From there, I lean into how this generation already learns: I bring my own iPad and use Google Docs to co-write essays with students live, so grammar errors get flagged and explained in the moment rather than in red pen a week later.

Tutoring English since 2022, with 3 years of teaching experience (1+ year cumulative contact hours) across Primary, Secondary and Cambridge English students. SMU Bachelor of Accountancy (High Merit); scored A2 for English at O-Levels.

Students Taken:

• Secondary 2–3 English (Apr 2023 – Nov 2025): E8 → C5 by end-2023, then → B3 at WA2. Covered Paper 1, Paper 2, and Oral/Listening.
• A2 Key for Schools, Cambridge English (Nov 2022 – Feb 2023): 88 → 111 rank points in 3.5 months (D7 → B4 equivalent) across Reading & Writing, Listening and Speaking.
• Primary 6 PSLE English (Apr 2022 – Sep 2022): AL8 → AL6 in 5 months (E8 → C5 equivalent).
