Tutor’s Teaching Background

Over the past 4 years, I’ve tutored students in Tamil, Biology, English, Geography, and Social Studies, helping them build both academic performance and confidence. My teaching focuses on clarity, engagement, and adaptability, with lessons tailored to suit each student’s learning style. One student I worked with was scoring D7s in Social Studies and Tamil. By breaking down content into digestible parts, using model essays and targeted answering techniques, she improved to a B3 in her final exams. In Biology and Geography, I use visual aids, mind maps, and active recall to help students retain content-heavy material. For essay-based subjects, I focus on structure, critical thinking, and consistent practice. I also conduct diagnostic assessments to identify early gaps, build strong exam techniques, and create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and improve at their own pace. More than just preparing for exams, I aim to help my students enjoy learning and feel confident in their abilities.
