I have taught children from aged 4-9, piano lessons, vocal/singing lessons and Chinese language lessons. I am currently working in a private preschool full-time, leading a Nursery 2 class. For the past 2 years I have taught children from Playgroup, Nursery 1-2 up till Kindergarten 2.
The first 3 to 6 years of a child's development is key.
Why do secondary school children face difficulties in school? Because they faced them in primary school. Why do primary school children face difficulties in school? Because the foundation wasn't taught properly in the preschool.
I strongly believe what is taught during the preschool years will affect a child's future learning. Although the brain does continue to develop and change through adulthood, the first 6-8 years can build a foundation for children's future learning.
