Tutor’s Teaching Background

Experience: After my A levels in 2019 I worked for Math Vision Enrichment Center and taught international students from grades 2-8 (Primary 2-6, Secondary 1-2) mathematics. I was with them for about a year. Students will come to the centre and the tutors there taught students 1-1 using assessment books as well as the materials made by the centre. From 2021-2023 I was working in BrightMinds Education teaching mathematics for Pri 3-6 and Sec 1-2 local students. Classes are conducted in a group format using the worksheets that the centre provides. I am experienced in handling both classes and 1-1 tuition. I taught 2 students P6 Mathematics this year and saw improvements in their math grades in their PSLE results. I hope to help more students in the year to come! Teaching methods: I have experienced many different types of students with different learning methods and ways of thinking in the past 5 years of teaching. I am able to tailor the way I explain concepts to suit how the student is learning. I would also teach students certain shortcuts/foolproof ways of answering math questions. My students are allowed to message me anytime with any questions that they are unfamiliar with and I will try my best to reply to them ASAP.
