Tutor’s Teaching Background

Hi,

I am Jacyln, an ex-Singapore teacher in an elementary school in Singapore for approximately 7 years. As I am trained in Singapore Teachers’ Certification course, I am familiar with the methodologies that school teachers in Singapore use. In the school days, I taught lower and upper primary students. I emphasize a lot on students’ understandings as I believe understanding concepts at a deeper level equips students with the skills to think out of the box and manage more challenging sums.

I am currently teaching Singapore Mathematics from Grade 3 to Grade 7 in Canada  and have been teaching for 2 years. I thought it would be great if I would pass on the knowledge to students in Singapore! As mentioned above, I have the Singapore Teachers’ certification, majoring in teaching Mathematics and Science.
