Why parents choose me: I have extensive experience tutoring students of varying academic standard and backgrounds! —> International Baccalaureate students (A-Level equivalent): Tutored 1 female student for HL Econs and 1 male student for SL Math. Tutored 1 female student for TOK, with their grade improving from a predicted C to a very high B in the Nov 2025 papers. —> O-Level students: Tutored 2 male secondary students for English, Chemistry, E Math and A Math for free at a social service centre. Tutored 1 female secondary student for Chemistry. Tutored 1 female secondary student for E Math and A math, with their grades improving from B4/C6 to A1/A2 in the 2025 O Levels. I strongly believe that that academic success stems from developing an intellectual appreciation for learning, which will carry one far in life. Thus, I am a firm believer of assisting students in understanding the nature of a subject and how it relates to contemporary society, as opposed to being force-fed lesson material through rote memorisation that many students are unfortunately all too familiar with. Not only do students under me develop strong foundations for the various subjects I teach, they also learn to apply what they learn in real-world situations, which is an indispensable skill for uni applications, uni, work and life in general. As a student who achieved academic success without any tuition, my approach to teaching is very practical and easy to grasp. Through a foundation-first approach, students under me learn to master the concepts of a subject, and are able to address questions and curveballs thrown at them during the examinations with ease. I provide lesson materials for each session and am quick to adapt to the needs and learning style of individual students as everyone learns differently. I will also guide the student in the most effective revision strategies, allowing them to refine their own personal revision outside of tuition to maximise results. Most importantly, I will cultivate an environment which is safe for the student — one where they feel motivated, build confidence, and truly enjoy learning. Communication with parents is of utmost importance to me, and I will provide prompt updates about the student and the session. I am committed to assisting your child in realising their true potential. What sets me apart from your regular tutor is my extensive background in student leadership. As the former president of the SJI Student Council and current head of multiple volunteer projects, the expertise and network I possess allows me to mentor students on building a strong extracurricular portfolio, working towards admission into their dream university or course. I also hold also offers from multiple Russell Group Universities and have sat for both Oxford and Cambridge admission interviews. Having sat for the prestigious PSC Scholarship panel interview, I am also able to advise students on applying for competitive scholarships.
