Tutor’s Teaching Background

I am an experienced English and Chinese tutor teaching students at primary and secondary school levels in Singapore, working with learners aged 7 to 17. I specialise in preparing students for major examinations including PSLE, O-Levels, IGCSE, AEIS, CEQ, as well as international school curricula. I have 20 years of experience in 1-1 teaching, including 2 years as a relief teacher at Jurong West Primary School. 

I have taught at Pantheon Education learning centre for 8 years and also provide private one-to-one tuition. In addition, I am well-versed in online teaching and have successfully conducted lessons via Zoom, Google Meet, and VooV. My students have achieved strong results, including passing AEIS examinations, improving from failing grades to B3, and demonstrating clear progress in both academic performance and learning aptitude.

I hold a Master’s degree in Business Management from the University of the Arts London. I design and prepare my own lesson materials, carefully tailored to each student’s individual needs, strengths, and areas for improvement. My teaching approach is highly personalised, focusing on building confidence, reinforcing foundations, and strategically targeting weaknesses while leveraging students’ strengths.

I am extremely patient and understanding, and I place strong emphasis on students’ wellbeing, motivation, and learning attitude. I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable, engaged, and motivated to achieve their best.
