Tutor’s Teaching Background

- NIE-trained (graduated 2009) - Former MOE school teacher with experience in private tuition and co-operative teaching - 1-1 Teaching / Private Tuition (15 years) I am NIE trained and a former MOE school teacher with experience in private tuition and co-op teaching for past 12 years. I will teach Science concepts from the fundamentals, ensuring that the student builds a strong and clear understanding of key topics and is well prepared for lesson in school. I will revisit Primary 3 topics from the first half of the year so as to ensure a good foundation. To enhance understanding, I will incorporate real-life examples and carefully selected experimental videos, helping students visualise and grasp abstract concepts more effectively. There will be a strong focus on Open-Ended Questions (OEQ), particularly in developing: - Process skills (e.g. observation, comparison, inference) - Answering techniques aligned with exam requirements I will provide carefully selected topical questions from school exam papers, and guide the student through them in detail, equipping them to look out for keywords and identify main topic concepts. For students who are interested, I can also guide them through simple hands-on experiments using easily available household materials, to further reinforce learning in an engaging and practical way.
