Tutor’s Teaching Background

Teaching style: I am patient and an encouraging tutor who wishes to make the lesson most enjoyable for my students. My students like my lessons as I make it fun, interesting and also easy to understand which also makes them more confident in their abilities. I can be strict but this is only per parent’s request if the child requires more discipline. Teaching approach: I strongly believe that practice-based learning is key to doing well in exams, and am quick to spot gaps in knowledge in my students to tailor my teaching to address their weaknesses to build the best foundation possible. I do not use a one-size-fits-all lesson plan for my students as I always allocate more time for areas that can be improved on and this is different for every student. For language there is an unlimited level of proficiency one can achieve, so I aim to use our time as efficiently as possible by doing practice-based learning to familiarise my students with grammar structure, vocab and writing techniques I am a full time tutor that graduated from NUS with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry (Honours) and Raffles Institution, and have 8 years of experience in teaching P6 English, Math, Science and Chinese. I am also equally experienced in teaching secondary and JC students for these subjects. I have attached the student progress for my P5-6 students below.
