Tutor’s Teaching Background

Teacher Faris graduated in 2015 from the National University of Singapore with a First Class Honours in Sociology and a minor in European Studies. He has had 6 years of tutoring and teaching experience in Social Science, French, English, General Paper, Social Studies, Math, Physics and Malay in various educational centres and at a teaching internship in a Secondary School. He has taught at the Primary, Secondary and Junior College level. In 2020, he also taught a module offered by the National University of Singapore for a postgraduate programme. Upon graduation, he embarked on a professional career in public policy with the government of Singapore for four years, specialising in social and education policy, and social science research. As for his qualifications, as mentioned above, he graduated with a First Class Honours in Sociology with a minor in European studies from the National University of Singapore. He achieved 3 dean's lists and 1 dean's scholar's list. He was also awarded the Mendaki Excellence Award. He achieved distinctions for O-level English, Malay, Higher Malay, Arabic and French. I also acquired distinctions for A-Level H2 French and General Paper. In addition, he has a C2 Level Advanced Diploma in the French language as well as an NUS certification for Intermediate German for which he received four distinctions. He has also achieved distinctions in Advanced and Elementary Maths and Physics. He was awarded a scholarship in Secondary School for being an all-rounder , a government-funded scholarship for his undergraduate studies, and a postgraduate government scholarship.
