Tutor’s Teaching Background

Although I do not have much formal teaching background, I have always helped out my friends and classmates when they had any issues with the work we were assigned. I was one of the top students in my respective classes— scoring A*in English Language, English Literature and Geography. (IGCSE CIE 2022) I had a previous IGCSE Geography student I was tutoring who had seen tremendous improvement from her practice papers (going from a C to an A) within a couple months of tutoring however she ultimately decided not to continue with the IGCSE route due to a plethora of factors. Previously having gone through the system as a student myself, I am able to relate to the unique needs and wants that should be met to help a student excel in the subject to the best of their abilities. I believe it is important to establish and hands on and engaging style of teaching to help students understand the content and enjoy the process of learning too. I look to building a strong relationship with my students to cultivate a safe space to raise concerns and ask questions too. I've gotten positive feedback and testimonials from my current students, and am glad to be able to provide useful and apt resources to strengthen students learning and revision.
