Tutor’s Teaching Background

I began tutoring when I was in the second year of Junior College, where I did volunteer teaching for my juniors in Victoria School.   I continued to teach Math to upper primary to lower secondary students during my national service. My greatest satisfaction stems from seeing my students improve after my guidance, such as when my P5 tutee improved her grades from AL6 to AL3 within 6 months.    My priority as a tutor is to impart knowledge at a deeper, more fundamental level. Learning should not be just done via face value, and students should be taught to understand concepts, polish their skills via rigorous practice and learn from their mistakes.
