Tutor’s Teaching Background

Education qualifications N level English A2 Maths A1 O level English A1 Maths A2 Attained diploma from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Accountancy. Attained degree from University at Buffalo in Communications. 1-1 teaching experience with students from both primary and secondary level.  Broadly confidence building & enquiry based approach. Will plan and adapt to the student's needs.  Primary English: Have taught 2 lower primary students previously, focusing on improving reading and vocabulary. Students could read independently and write confidently after 1 year.  Primary Math: Taught primary 3 student. Had a lot of careless mistakes when we started out, and was not clear on concepts taught in school. By 3rd month I was teaching him concepts ahead of school. Got almost full marks in his tests and exams.  Secondary Math: Taught Secondary 1 student. Was weak in subject and had a weak foundation. Built up student's foundation and slowly worked to catch up with school. Took longer as student picked up concepts slower, but overall managed to catch up with peers over a 6month period.
