As sponsors, you may apply Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) for:
- Common-law Spouse
- Unmarried daughters above 21 years of age
- Stepchildren under 21 years of age
- Parents and Parents-in-law
The following categories of people may also apply for the Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP):
- Female visitor whose child/grandchild is studying in Singapore on a student’s pass
- Visitor whose spouse is a Singapore citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
- Visitor (below 21 years old) whose parent is Singapore citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.
- Visitor whose child (above the age of 21 years old) is Singapore citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.

In general, these documents and information are required for Long Term Visit Pass applications:
- Long Term Visit Pass Application Form
- Passport Sized Photograph (taken within last three months)
- Applicant’s passport.

Long Term Visit Pass Application Process
Application processing period: 1 to 6 weeks

What To Do If Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) Application Gets Rejected?
The reason for the Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) rejection usually relates to the parent’s salary or company’s weak reputation at the authorities. The estimated minimum qualifying income is $5000 SGD a month.
The application has up to 3 months to prepare new papers and come up with the appeal. Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) Application will automatically be voided thereafter.

How To Renew Long Term Visit Pass?
The visa can be extended in two ways:
1. Online – this option will be activated 6 months before the Long Term Social Visit Pass expires.
2. Manual – the employer fills up the form he receives by mail 3 months before the Long Term Social Visit Pass expires.
Cancel a Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP)
You must cancel and return the Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) if the family member leaves Singapore permanently or has converted to a Singaporean PR or Citizen.
When to cancel a Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP)
You must cancel a Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) in these situations:
- The main pass holder has become a Singapore permanent resident.
- Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) holder intends to leave Singapore.
Do take note that, when the Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) is cancelled, all related Letter of Consent or Work Permit will also be cancelled.
